Now most of the traveling Kristy and I\u00a0 did through china was with taxi&#8217;s since we where staying close to the attraction, or with booked tours. Since the Great Wall was a tad bit far away we opted for a tour which took us there. Yes I know we probably overpaid for the tour, but honesty, we wanted to make sure we got to the right place.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4141\/4737255055_d5279f0331.jpg\" alt=\"Mutianyu Great Wall Sign\" width=\"564\" height=\"423\" \/><\/p>\n<p><object width=\"559\" height=\"344\" classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/B-kAoX1CRV0&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><embed width=\"559\" height=\"344\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/B-kAoX1CRV0&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1\" allowFullScreen=\"true\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Now there are many different sections to the Great Wall of China, however, the two most popular ones are the<strong> Badaling<\/strong> and the <strong>Mutianyu<\/strong> sections.\u00a0 This is because they are the closest to Beijing, the most touristy, and the best restored. We choose the Mutianyu section to visit because we read reviews that it was the least crowed of the two and it had amazing views, boy did we make the right choice!!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4073\/4737891218_469be5fc4b.jpg\" alt=\"Mutianyu Great Wall West 1\" width=\"555\" height=\"416\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4101\/4737888952_6ca976b4c9.jpg\" alt=\"Hiking Mutianyu Great Wall\" width=\"454\" height=\"605\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now on the bus ride up the mountain I originally started to freak out about the snow, we had not prepared for it and I was worried we wouldn&#8217;t be able to see anything! However, Kristy reassured me that the wall would be even more amazing in the snow. Once we step off the gondola I agreed, it was stunning. Fortunate the fog that was hindering our views lifted just as we where leaving so I managed to see quite far before we had to go.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4094\/4737890668_f743766c9d.jpg\" alt=\"Nadine  Mutianyu Great Wall\" width=\"554\" height=\"415\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4135\/4737255383_af728ca834.jpg\" alt=\"Mutianyu Great Wall Side\" width=\"554\" height=\"415\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4115\/4737889272_706093da6d.jpg\" alt=\"Kristy  Mutianyu Wall\" width=\"554\" height=\"415\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4118\/4737890948_db42f6eed3.jpg\" alt=\"Nadine and Kristy Great Wall\" width=\"556\" height=\"417\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, we only spent about an hour and a half on the wall which was DEFIANTLY not enough time! You barely have time to get all your photos\/videos in and maybe walk a small section of the wall. So that was a slight disappointment, but don&#8217;t you worry, I had other plans in mind \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>After the great wall, we took a stop at the <strong>Ming Tombs<\/strong>, the burial site of the Emperors.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4119\/4737247393_88d400f5fb.jpg\" alt=\"Ming Tombs 1\" width=\"449\" height=\"598\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4094\/4737248941_52c22f32c6.jpg\" alt=\"Ming Tombs Enterance\" width=\"448\" height=\"597\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4074\/4737884850_c4ffeb5744.jpg\" alt=\"Follow the Rabit Hole\" width=\"560\" height=\"420\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Follow the rabbit hole&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Now I didn&#8217;t find the Ming Tombs anything special, so if your debating weather or not to visit, I would recommend skipping it.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s all the China for today!!
