Which is exactly why I am writing this piece, since I am on a mission to explore more parts of Canada. Now, I could go the traditional route and hit up all the bucket list items of the Canada-to-do list, but Expedia Canada wanted to know a fun and clever list of 10 Uncommon, not-quite bucket list Canadian adventures you can have. Now these are not far out, off the beaten track items, but more like items that you might overlook or not necessarily think of when you imagine Canada. So, here are my 10 Uncommon Canadian Adventures.

Dinosaur Expeditions in Drumheller, Alberta

Canada is not a particular old country (only 148 years since founded), however it is home to some old things, like the dinosaurs that once roamed the valleys of Drumheller and Dinosaur Provincial Park. Here in the badlands you can dig for real dinosaur fossils plus learn a lot about dinosaurs.

Fortifications of Québec

Great Wall of China move over, there is a new wall on the block! Well, technically old if you think about it. With over 4.6km of wall to walk and explore, Quebec’s fortified city is full of historical adventures.

Iceberg Viewing off the coast of Newfoundland

When you think of Canada, you most likely think of snow. Icebergs maybe not so much. But, if you’re willing to brave the cold, Iceberg Alley this is one of the best places in the world to view these wanders of nature.

Icewine in the Okanagan, British Columbia

French, Italian, Spanish, when you talk wine, these are what come to mind. But actually, BC produces a very unique type of wine, Icewine; a sweet dessert wine that’s made from frozen grapes picked off the vine.

Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia

One of the greatest marital disasters happen just off the coast of Nova Scotia: The Titanic.
