So last month I had the pleasure of being honoured in Contiki Holiday<\/a>‘s Contiki Legends Campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Why? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Well you might just call me the Queen of Contiki, <\/strong>as I’ve had an\u00a0ongoing partnership with them for over<\/strong>\u00a03 years<\/strong>\u00a0, during which I have been on\u00a014 Contiki trips<\/strong> covering: South America<\/a>, New Zealand<\/a>,\u00a0Australia<\/a>, Europe<\/a>,\u00a0Scandinavia<\/a>, Southeast Asia<\/a> and the USA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In this guide I am going to go over a lot of the things I have learned about\u00a0my experiences on\u00a0Contiki<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in hopes to give some insight for those looking at taking one for themselves.<\/p>\n

What is a Contiki Trip?<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Contikis<\/strong><\/a> are\u00a0an organized tour group of young, like minded travellers from around the world; particularly from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA, the UK and South Africa. They are group sizes of 13-50 people, aged 18-35 and can span a\u00a0couples days, 1 week, 2 weeks, or up to 45 days (alot of different time options here) .<\/em><\/p>\n

Who is Contiki perfect for?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

First time travellers, solo travellers, social travellers, adventure travellers, youth travellers, and those that don\u2019t like the hassle and the stress of planning a trip by themselves. For those that want to see the world and not be burdened by having to sort out accommodations, where to go, see and transportation back and forth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Trip Styles<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Contiki can sometimes be very intense and fast pace<\/strong>, this is because they are trying to get you the most things done and seen within a short period of time<\/strong>. Know this before planning your trip , because if you are someone that likes to sleep in or dislikes\u00a0travelling on a bus for longer periods of time, a fast pace trip visiting multiple countries is not going to be for you, and you won\u2019t have as much fun as one that is a bit more relaxed. This is\u00a0precisely the reason behind Contiki’s\u00a0brand new trip styles.<\/strong> Customization! As they now have options of slower paces tours, and tours that spend multiple nights in one\u00a0place, really allowing you to take in all there is to see and do!<\/span><\/p>\n

Make sure you have an idea of what pace you are looking for .\u00a0Think about this hard<\/strong> and really evaluate HOW you want to travel, not just WHAT you want to see<\/strong>. You can never see everything at every destination you go to, so don\u2019t push yourself to try.<\/p>\n
