It&#8217;s not a very original one, however it is a pretty epic one.<\/p>\n<p>Thus I present,<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Nadine&#8217;s 15 Wonders of the World Bucket List<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><del><strong>Great Wall of China<\/strong> &#8211; China <\/del><\/li>\n<li><del><strong>Macchu Picchu<\/strong> &#8211; Peru<\/del><\/li>\n<li><del><strong>Angkor Wat<\/strong> &#8211; Cambodia<\/del><\/li>\n<li><strong>Taj Mahal\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; India<\/li>\n<li><strong>Petra<\/strong>&#8211; Jordan<\/li>\n<li><strong>Christ the Redeemer<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 Brazil<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chichen Itza<\/strong> &#8211; Mexico<\/li>\n<li><strong>Colosseum<\/strong> &#8211; Italy<\/li>\n<li><strong>Great Pyramid of Giza<\/strong> &#8211; Eygpt<\/li>\n<li><strong>Acropolis of Athens<\/strong> &#8211; Greece<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hagia Sophia<\/strong> &#8211; Turkey<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stonehenge<\/strong> &#8211; United Kingdom<\/li>\n<li><strong>Moai<\/strong>, Easter Island &#8211; Chile<\/li>\n<li><strong>Neuschwanstein<\/strong> &#8211; Germany<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eiffel Tower<\/strong> &#8211; France<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you recall, my first &#8220;wonder&#8221; being <a title=\"The Great Wall of China- Mutianyu\" href=\"https:\/\/www.heynadine.com\/the-great-wall-of-china-take-1-mutianyu\/\">The Great Wall of China,<\/a> followed by <a title=\"Bucket Lists and why Machu Picchu was NOT on mine.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.heynadine.com\/bucketlist-and-why-machu-picchu-was-not-on-mine\/\">Macchu Picchu<\/a>, and now Angkor Wat; even though some lists differ on whether or not it&#8217;s one of the <em>seven<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h2>Angkor Wat<\/h2>\n<p>Alright, moving on to todays post, Angkor Wat! I was so excited to see this since I have a thing for engineering marvels and Angkor Wat is definitely one of them. Would you hold it against me if I told you this was what I was looking forward to all Southeast Asia trip? Yup, I am a nerd that watches to much Discovery Channel.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/6864521594\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7243\/6864521594_67f88629cb_b.jpg\" alt=\"Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Anyways, I hope you love temples too because we have three to cross off today.<\/p>\n<p>We were up nice and early for sunrise over Angkor Wat.\u00a0 Although the cloud cover had me worried at the beginning,\u00a0 we still saw a pretty spectacular sunrise. I attempted to do some kind of time-lapse photography; however, realistically I should not\u00a0have\u00a0 tried without a tripod.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/6864522218\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7203\/6864522218_22bb8013fe_b.jpg\" alt=\"Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/6864529514\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7122\/6864529514_1d0a82f509_b.jpg\" alt=\"Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After sunrise we got a chance to wonder around Angkor Wat, learn about it&#8217;s history, and take some photos.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/7010638907\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7105\/7010638907_a29f7e35bc_b.jpg\" alt=\"Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/6864524874\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7253\/6864524874_4486659570_b.jpg\" alt=\"Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>By the way, when visiting Angkor Wat make sure you wear hard-core temple dress; knees and shoulders cover. This temple was part of the Angkor Thom City which encompasses several temples from the Angkor Empire, including Angkor Wat as the main.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Angkor Thom - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/6864531066\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7233\/6864531066_66ba14dd31_b.jpg\" alt=\"Angkor Thom - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Angkor Thom - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/6864536554\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7216\/6864536554_b5eea6fc83_b.jpg\" alt=\"Angkor Thom - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Angkor Thom - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/6864535186\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7109\/6864535186_d6595bf43f_b.jpg\" alt=\"Angkor Thom - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bayon temple is mostly famous for all the faces carved in the stone. However, unlike Angkor Wat which is held in such esteem and protected so diligently, it seem quite the opposite here. People were rather disrespectful, they would climb and sit anywhere, touch the carvings and statues, and just yap really loud. Yes it&#8217;s a tiny temple in comparisons to Angkor Wat, but still it&#8217;s still worth\u00a0respect.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Angkor Thom - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/7010647895\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7061\/7010647895_881cf41cb3_b.jpg\" alt=\"Angkor Thom - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Ta Prohm Temple<\/h2>\n<p>Following the Bayon Temple was the Ta Prohm Temple, my favorite of the three, even more than Angkor Wat!<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Ta Prohm - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/6864539192\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7227\/6864539192_7b17a7f178_b.jpg\" alt=\"Ta Prohm - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Ta Prohm - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/6864541890\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7251\/6864541890_4744139f39_b.jpg\" alt=\"Ta Prohm - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I absolutely love jungle temples, it&#8217;s a photographer&#8217;s and videographer&#8217;s dream! The lighting with sunset- perfect!<\/p>\n<p>And that is actually exactly what we found there; a group of photographers on some sort of photo shoot. I actually managed to snag a photo of their Buddhist monk models, hehehe.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Ta Prohm - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/7010657573\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7198\/7010657573_38182e1d0f_b.jpg\" alt=\"Ta Prohm - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Ta Prohm - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/33736956@N08\/6864537926\/\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7261\/6864537926_bc45f02467_b.jpg\" alt=\"Ta Prohm - Siem Reap, Cambodia\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I seriously could spend all day running around this place; words cannot even describe. Maybe my love for all thing fantasy is why I enjoyed this temple so much.
