Welcome to the first official day of my Beaches and Reefs Contiki Tour!<\/a> Today I got a chance to meet the group of contikiers I will be traveling around Australia with. Our meeting place, the AJ Hackett Bungy<\/a> site in Cairns. Get ready for an action packed get-to-know-you complete with jumping off bridges and having a couple drinks in the jungle.<\/p>\n

Seeing that I chickened out of bungy jumping back in Queenstown,<\/a> I thought I would try a different adrenaline rush. So I convinced fellow travel mate Adriane to do the Minjin Swing<\/strong> with me, the world’s fastest jungle swing.<\/p>\n

Tully River<\/h2>\n

So I am going a bit out of order here and we are actually going to skip a day and jump right into our third day on tour. Reason being is that our second day requires an entire blog post to itself.<\/p>\n

So our third day on tour consisted of a white water rafting trip down the Tully River. Unlike the previous rafting trip<\/a> I have taken, this trip was an all day event consisting of 5 hours of rafting. It was also much more technical then my previous trip, including grade 3-4 rapids.<\/p>\n

Since the river levels were low, there was a lot of time in between the rapids and we got stuck at quite a few points temporarily. Regardless, it was a very fun day and I even managed to get a bit of color from the sun.<\/p>\n
