Hotel Sacher
Lucky us that it was one of the girls on our tour birthday. So to celebrate we got to have a local dessert called a Sacher Torte, chocolate cake with apricot filling goodness. Even though I instantly felt sick afterwards, a dessert like this was worth it.
One of Austria’s largest and most recognizable companies is Swarovski , a retailer and designer of fashionable jewelry and crystal figures. Lucky us we got a tour of the flagship store in downtown Vienna, where we learned about all the different types of crystal object they manufacture.
Greeted with Moet Champagne. Swarovski I like your style.
Schnapps Museum
That afternoon it was time to get some drink on at the Schnapps Museum. Now I’m not a heavy drinker and from my somewhat limited knowledge of alcoholic beverages in North America I can tell you that absinth is not a common drink. Well in Vienna and Eastern Europe it is. Here at the schnapps museum we got the pleasure of tasting several different types of schnapps. I had 4 shots: an absinth mix, the house specialty Gold, an apricot one and fireball. I was too chicken to try the straight absinth.
The “before” face.
Schonbrunn Palace
That evening we had a special treat of dinner and a Mozart concert. A must-do when in Vienna! I love my classical music, I used to listen to it a lot when I would do university work. I know all the classics and the big composers, but now that I am out of school I don’t listen to it quite as often which is rather sad.
I was also very lucky to be able to film the Mozart concert since usually they don’t allow cameras in – yay for video blogs!
You look great in that orange dress 🙂 Hope you didn’t get to hammered on all that schnapps! LOL
Nice answer back in return of this matter with solid
arguments and describing everything about that.
