Singapore Zoo X2- Thunderstorms and Night Safari

Hey Guys and Gals!

Here is the second installment of my Singapore Zoo Trip. Are you wondering what happened?!?! ZOMG, DID I SURVIVE THE THUNDERSTORM! Well yes I did, since I am here writing this blog post to you.

The rain and thunderstorm came up so fast, I didn’t even have time to find a proper shelter. Originally I headed over to this undercover area near the lions, which was enclosed. However, I couldn’t see anything but sleeping lions, AND all the parents and their children took refuge in there so it was a tad bit crowded. So, since it wasn’t raining TOO hard yet, I ventured down to this tree to try and get a closer look of the storm.

And rest a sure, I saw about 3 huge lightning rods strike the ground not even 1km away. AND who said lighting does not strike the same spot twice?! I saw a lightning bolt hit down onto the same spot in the lake within 10 mins of each other. AND of course, I didn’t get ANY of it on tape.

Once the huge downpour began I ran to a tad bit safer shelter, which was this hut about 15 feet away. There I remained for about 30 mins waiting out the storm with this other couple, whom also seem to be in good spirits despite the weather . Then, once I got bored with them, I bolted over to the Leopard pen, to chill with a new friend. Make sure you watch the video for more info.

After the 30 or so minutes of waiting, I decided the storm had pass through enough it was safe for me to continue on  and see the rest of the Zoo.

Now, onto the Night Safari!

Night Safari

There was A LOT of hype going into the Night Safari, as it is the ONLY one of it’s kind (of course minus a REAL night safari ). I knew it was going to be night and all but, it was actually PITCH BLACK. No light of any kind. So my cameras picked up nothing, and even I could barely see much of the animals, so that was a tad bit of a let down.

The difference between the night and day are that in both zoo’s they offer a Tram Ride. While in the day zoo, its rather nice to walk the zoo and the tram ride is super unnecessary, unless you cannot walk long distances. Where as in the Night Safari, it’s necessary since the walking trails do not allow you to see all the animals.

Now lets talk tram. That tram ride went sooo fast, you barley even stopped at the animal area for 2 seconds before we moved on to the next. So I am glad I got off and did the walking trails, even thought it was pitch black and I was alone. >.<

Never the less, it was still an awesome concept because I got to see a variety of different creatures not usually in regular zoos. But, recommendations is to do the walking trails for both zoos. It’s not actually THAT much walking .

  1. So what was the animal we were supposed to guess at? They looked like sheep with lots of wool on them and some looked like thay had antlers (spelled incorrectly I think). That must have been an amazingly long day at the zoo. Worth it, I am sure.

That is one cool zoo! I also love the thunderstorm being captured on video, as I’m a weather forecaster. 😛

You looked like you were very scared in the video. I felt sorry for you and wished to give you a big hug (and an umbrella, for sale in Un’Goro Crater for a measly 5g)

Enjoyed the night tour–kinda reminded me of the old days of radio where you would have to listen and use your imagination-

When it comes to fishing, some goes for fishing as an entertainment activity and many depends upon fishing for their livelihood.
One of the benefits of fishing is that it is not
physically demanding. Itis one of the most important aspect is that it is
very much pleasurable, peaceful, and every so oftenworthwhile also.

  6. She is likely a WARRIOR PERSONALITY I talk about in the KWML Mastery Course on women, dating, love,
and friendship. While having a passion for playing games is important, getting a rewarding career in game design will require students to be
a cut above the competition. It is recommended that the golfers select those putters
with which the golfers feel good and works well with their gaming pattern.

It has an all-black black (matte) external casing, comprehensive with a pop-up flash on the best.
Don’t think you need an expensive camera and equipment setup either. The Difference Between Digital and Optical Zooms Many digital cameras feature both digital and optical zoom.

Try simple games and check how your internet connection is
and then move on play more games. It combines RPG elements and
strategy for a very interesting game where you must stop the rows of pirates ship from making their way down the
river. Are you a Kansas City Chiefs or Pittsburgh
    Steelers fan.

A cake shaped as a princess castle for the pretty little girl turning six or a replica of Scooby Doo
for the cute little boy celebrating his third birthday or a sneaker-shaped cake for
the shoe-lover husband or delicious brownies shaped as stars for visiting relatives can be done with these specialty cake pans.

  10. Both drugs have also been denied FDA approval the first time
around and are awaiting news on their second attempt. For
many working to lose weight, one failure is enough to get them off the path to success.
Do not be tempted to lose weight as quickly as you can, because a crash diet
will have you eating less than a thousand calories a
    day slowing down your metabolism.

  11. Traditional Japanese knife making requires at least 4 skilled craftsmen,
and it takes them 2 weeks to complete a single blade. Using the pinch grip the knife is placed between
the thumb and forefinger at its center or fulcrum where the weight is evenly
balanced. More exotic materials usually only seen on art or ceremonial knives include: Cattle bone, mammoth tooth, mammoth ivory, walrus tusk, antler (often called stag in a knife context), sheep horn,
    buffalo horn.

  12. You don’t have to hit the gym for two and three hours each day to lose weight, but it does help to squeeze in 30 minutes of physical activity each day. In fact, I always suggest to those overweight vegetarians to keep to a max of 4 pounds a week so you won’t suffer loose skin post weight
loss. Then leave it a while until your tummy lets you know
that you’re hungry again before opting for a healthy snack.
